ICG 2027

The 12th "International VDI Conference on Gears"， taking place September 8-10, 2027，  together with the accompanying conferences on "Gear Production" and "High Performance Plastic Gears"，  brings together the global gear and transmission community every two years. Organized by the VDI Wissenfsforum and chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Karsten Stahl, Director of the Gear Research Centre (FZG) at Technical University of Munich, the conference welcomes around 500 international experts from industry and academia to exchange knowledge, discuss current research and explore new technologies and solutions. Supported by an international program committee, it provides a broad platform for knowledge exchange, networking and discussion.

Key topics include gear design and simulation, manufacturing technologies, materials and lubrication, efficiency and sustainability, noise and vibration, digitalization, condition monitoring, smart gears and AI-based solutions, as well as new applications in mobility, robotics and industrial drive systems. With these topics,  participants will benefit from direct access to leading experts, insights into the latest technological developments and valuable opportunities to build international contacts and partnerships.
