CSE 2026

The Conference for Sustainable Energy, CSE, was launched as an international event for promoting renewable energy systems as part of energy scenarios for sustainable development.

Starting with 2005, each edition had a core subject, defined according to significant research topics at global level:
- CSE 2005 – Sustainable Energy
- CSE 2008 – Solar Energy Conversion
- CSE 2011 – Sustainable Communities
- CSE 2014 – Nearly Zero Energy Buildings
- CSE 2017 – Nearly Zero Energy Communities
- CSE 2020 – Solar Energy Conversion in Communities
- CSE 2023 – Renewable Energy Mixes for Carbon Neutrality in Communities

The 8th Edition, CSE 2026, opens the floor to new results, innovative concepts and solutions for Energy Communities.

EU sustains these energy communities which are instrumental in decentralizing and democratizing energy production, allowing citizens to produce, manage, and consume their own renewable energy. As of early 2024, there are over 9,000 energy communities in the EU, involving more than 1.5 million citizens. Community-led initiatives play an important role in the transition towards a 100% renewable and just energy future.
