Abstract:

The 20th International Symposium on Advances in Robot Kinematics (ARK 2026) will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from June 28 to July 2. This biennial event will continued its tradition as a specialized forum for researchers in robot kinematics aimed to foster collaboration and disseminate cutting-edge research in robot kinematics, encompassing analysis, modeling, simulation, design, and control. The symposium will continue to provide a platform for presenting theoretical advancements and practical applications, reinforcing the foundational role of kinematics in modern robotics.

Covered Fields:
The symposium addressed a broad spectrum of topics, including: Robot kinematics analysis and singularity analysis, Modeling and simulation techniques, Kinematic design and control methodologies, etc (see the list of topics below)
Addressed Community:
ARK attracts a diverse community of researchers, academics, and practitioners specializing in robot kinematics. The symposium serves as a nexus for experts to exchange ideas, present findings, and establish collaborations, thereby strengthening the global network of professionals in this field.
Impact on IFToMM:
Since its inception in 1988, ARK has been instrumental in uniting the robot kinematics community, promoting scientific cooperation, and contributing to the evolution of the field. Under the auspices of IFToMM since 1992, ARK has enhanced the federation's mission by providing a dedicated platform for advancing mechanism and machine science. The symposium's proceedings, published by Springer, have become a valuable resource for ongoing research.
