Mission & Organization

The Permanent Commission for the History of Mechanism and Machine Science envisions to bring thoughts and developments from ancient to modern previous times back to consciousness of current research and teaching to spark new developments through the tapping of arcane wisdom. To this end, the Permanent Commission for the History of Mechanism and Machine Science supports the republishing and refurbishing of classical works of reference, the dissemination of historic material in the area of mechanism and machine science, and the promotion of activities in the field of the History of Mechanism and Machine Science and supervises and implements the archiving procedures of the Federation. New members in the Permanent Commission for the History of Mechanism and Machine Science, in particular of young researchers, are very welcome.
