Mission & Organization
The Cross-Disciplinary Group “Securing our Future Environment – Air, Water, Energy” seeks to present IFToMM as an active world organization that can contribute to United Nation 2030 Development Agenda, highlighting all research activities realized in the IFToMM community that can contribute to reach some of the targets within the global Sustainable Development Goals. Its aims are to increase the awareness related to global Sustainable Development Goals within the IFToMM scientific community, to generate a network of active researchers with specific interest on effects of new technologies for a sustainable world and to foster the dialogue between technologists and humanists.
The Cross-Disciplinary Group “Securing our Future Environment – Air, Water, Energy” has started activities – under the lead of Prof. Giuseppe Quaglia – by initiating the “1st IFToMM for Sustainable Development Goals Online Workshop” (IFToMM I4SDG) which will be held on November 25-26, 2021. The workshop crosses over 10 Technical Committees and two Permanent Commissions and regards, apart from technological aspects, such broad human tasks such as no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, and others. The conference website can be viewed through our Conferences & Summer Schools webpage or directly through the link http://www.iftommitaly.it/i4sdg2021/.
